Ranking in Google, Yahoo, and Bing Using Keywords

If you are a small or home-based business owners then you have heard the saying that the money is in the list, right? Well, let me start by saying that the saying is true in reality. But, let’s face it! Most of us don’t go in business thinking about advertising, marketing, and promotion.

Most of us when we go starting our own business, whether it’s home-based or not, we are only thinking about an idea that we want to make profit from, well, unless you are starting a non-profit business. Truth be told and the truth you need traffic for your business to be successful.

You don’t need just any type of traffic but you need targeted traffic which send targeted visitors to your website, product, service, or business opportunity. Now, most people will tell you that a lead capture page system attached to an autoresponder will do the work. But, guess what! A lead capture page system won’t get targeted visitors to your website unless you know how to promote online.

Your autoresponder won’t make any sales unless you have a list of targeted subscribers to send offers to. In other words, your lead management system does NOT generate leads. Therefore, you also need a lead generation system. Some lead generation techniques include the followings: cost per action, pay per click, traffic exchange, pay per view, click for credit, and so on and so forth.

They all have their advantages and challenges. One of the big challenge of those system, according to my personal opinion, is that they do not provide targeted visitors to your website. Visitors are looking your website because they get paid somehow to do so. If you are lucky you might have 1 out of a 1000 visitors that may express a genuine interest into your offer.

This is not to say that you must stop using those advertising media. All I’m saying is to be careful to what extent you use them. Now, here is the 1 million dollar question: what is the most efficient way to get targeted traffic to your website?

Well, let’s think about this a little bit! What do you do when you need something and you don’t know where to get? If you answer is “I GOOGLE IT” then you’re right! That’s what people do now a days “THEY GOOGLE EVERYTHING!” This is something you should keep in mind.

Now, when people search GOOGLE, what do they do? They type certain words or phrases which are called KEYWORDS. Then GOOGLE goes to work and search websites already indexed to see if any of those websites have the KEYWORD that was used by the user and that is how GOOGLE display the search result to the user.

The same process works for any other search engines like YAHOO, BING, etc. If you site is not indexed in search engine then you are not using the power of online marketing. Indexing your website in search engine is the first step.

The next step is to get ranked under certain KEYWORDS. When your website is ranked under certain KEYWORDS that is when you start getting targeted visitors to your product, service, or offer. Thanks for reading!
